Black Screen Problem

Sometimes a problem occurs where the screen on the HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop computer goes black. After trying disk recovery, battery removal, recharging, and replacement, the screen is still black. This problem can be critical. First, unplug the laptop from the power supply unit, remove the battery and keep it out for an hour. The residual voltage will make the screen go dead and black. After replacing the batteries, the laptop screen lights up. The three-year warranty covers any external damage, so be careful while replacing and removing batteries and hardware. There may be an error in the connector wires, so one must consider taking the laptop to a service center before breaking any of the hardware seals.

Solution

  • Unplug the power cord
  • Remove the battery and hold the power button for 60 second
  • Re-connect the power and attempt a boot
  • Shut down, put the battery back
